The Essential Wedding Catering Equipment & Supplies
Catering for a wedding is not an easy feat. Whether you’re an experienced caterer, or someone trying to save some money on your own wedding, catering for a large number of people can be a daunting and stressful task so it’s important to stay organised and ahead of the game. Here are some of the essential equipment and supplies needed to cater a wedding.
Table Settings
Your guests need utensils to consume your food, so don’t forget things like cutlery, plates, glasses, table cloths, napkins, coffee cups with saucer, salt and pepper, and any other silverware.
Serving Equipment
Remember to pack essential serving equipment such as bus tubs, serving trays and water jugs.
Buffet Equipment
If your guests will be serving themselves in a buffet style setting, ensure you pack everything you need for your buffet setting. Anything that you need to keep your food hot or cold, bread basket, tongs, serving spoons, spatulas, cutting boards and decorations.
Beverage Station
It’s always a good idea to have a beverage station set up, regardless of whether you’re serving guests individually or in a buffet setting. Weddings usually include alcohol somewhere along the line and the last thing anyone wants at their wedding is drunk people who can’t hold their alcohol. Have a beverage station set up with tea, coffee and water so guests can help themselves throughout the night. Don’t forget your glassware, pitchers, coffee cups, napkins, milk, sugar, tea and coffee.
Additional Supplies
It’s always a good idea to keep some extras on hand too such as cleaning supplies, plastic wrap, tin foil, garbage bags, extra silverware and serving spoons, hand sanitizer and towels.
